I was also asked to be part of a team at the "Ranbhoomi Event". Going on exchange provides you with a global perspective and the chance to experience another culture. You can learn global best practices, network with people around the world and explore career prospects outside of India. Students may participate in Exchange Programs with Business schools from across the world including the U.S., France, Australia, Austria, Belgium, South Africa, Canada, Ecuador, Mexico, Poland, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Germany, China, South Korea, Singapore, the U.K., etc. Exchange programs also give you a competitive edge in the global employment market wherein cross-cultural exposure acquires enormous significance. Prospect employers value international study as it demonstrates your ability to take initiative and function in a cross-cultural environment. The program can also help students brush up on foreign language skills, an essential pre-requisite in the current business environment and also forms a part of business curriculum in most of our partner b-schools.
When you go on exchange to a partner institution you pay no extra tuition fees to the partner institution. However, some institutions may require separate payments for the membership of a Student Association or other such fees. These are usually fairly modest fees. Living expenses, airfares, accommodation and meals, travel, insurance, textbooks and personal expenses will have to be borne by the students. Generally, the money required for a 4-month/one semester exchange will be around INR 300,000/-. For some countries this is way too much and for others probably about right. This might depend on the host country that one is travelling to. Some partner institutions might make generous offers of their own scholarships to IMT students including free accommodation or stipends. These can change from year to year and you should keep an eye on these scholarships.
The maximum time for exchange is One terms or 3-4 months. It is good to start planning your exchange 3 months in advance. You will need to have enough ground work and money to live and hopefully travel as well.
The Chairperson: International Relations will conduct interviews to select candidates for the outbound student exchange program, based on their suitability.

IMT Nagpur Students Attended 'Short Term Exchange Program' Titled Business Environment & Challenges in UAE at IMT Dubai During Feb 2017

The team of outgoing exchange students included 20 students from IMT Nagpur who were taught through a variety of teaching methods such as industrial visits, seminars by Corporate experts and guest lectures.
It was truly an amazing experience to be in Dubai. Although, the stay was too short, yet it was wonderful & full of worth. The best part of the Country is top class discipline & housekeeping / cleanliness. We get to know the economy of this small country, where 89% population is from outside. The economy is being managed through fines/prosecutions and tourism. We come across a wonderful piece of architecture i.e. Burj Khalifa. People gather in masses & enjoy life from Thursday to Saturday. The honesty in work & workmanship is apparent. We thank the Management of our institute for being so kind in affording us opportunity making Dubai a part of our education.
This program has been an enthralling experience for all the students of IMT Nagpur. From guest lectures to the cultural trips to industrial visits and not to forget the night life of Dubai. All of these activities became a part of our memories and instilled within us the culture and the business life of people in Dubai. All these activities showed us different aspects of life and how one is working under different circumstances with carefree attitude and with no intention to harm other’s religious sentiments.
UAE being a multicultural country, the Short Term Exchange Program at IMT-Dubai gave a good overview of the execution of business there. The guest lectures organised were very apt and informative. The program schedule was very appropriately planned as it gave an opportunity to explore the middle eastern world from industrial as well as cultural perspective. The interactions definitely were a value addition for me.
This Step program was an overwhelming experience for me. The city- Dubai in itself is such a fascinating place in terms of its beautiful architecture, one man’s rule and rapid economic development. This program indeed imparted great knowledge not only about the business and economic environment of UAE but also about the cultural effervescence. It was amazing to learn from the city’s top corporate leaders and getting new insights on their work culture. Moreover this trip also had the fun element along with academics which was the best part.
A well structured course enlightening Dubai's culture, reforms and the way businesses operate in Dubai. Guest lectures combined with industrial and fun visits ensured practical learning. All together it was a skyscraper experience

An enriching and a fun-filled experience indeed, Short Term Exchange Program did give me a platform to explore the practical business world of UAE providing me a holistic and an overall growth experience that I will use in my future endeavors. Though a 10 day program, I take back with me memories and experiences of a lifetime. Interactions and knowledge sharing with the eminent leaders from various walks of life indeed was a value addition to my carrier in general and me in particular.
The program has given me a new perspective into the business world as a whole. The guest lecture was very informative. The program design was very good as well, as it gave us the industrial application as we see in the visits, plus get insiders information from industry personnel who come for guest lecture. Overall it was very enriching experience for me.
