The world is shrinking & the corporate world even more so. The economies across the globe are rapidly integrating into a mega world economy. In this era of strategic alliances, joint ventures and unpredictable market conditions, cross-cultural capabilities and visionary leadership are prequisites for corporates worldwide. Clearly, the need of the hour is leaders with a global perspective on economic, technological, cultural and political interfaces with business. A prerequisite of leadership is to look beyond the present. To be an innovator in business or a stimulant of change in society, you need to extend sight beyond your current knowledge and capabilities.At IMT, our objective is to prepare leaders who go beyond conventional management skills. Creativity & Innovation have become sine qua non for one and all.
IMT Nagpur is one such business school which focuses on helping students hone and build Creative & Innovation quotient by way of a wider array of curricular opportunities and integrated learning. Established in the year 2004, IMT Nagpur is spread over 27 plus acres with smart class rooms, hostel & playground facilities. Our picturesque site and blossoming green environment makes the campus serene and tranquil. With a pool of over 50 full time, adjunct & visiting faculty, 500 plus students, and 5000+ alumni, PGDM programs (Including Marketing & Finance) of IMT-Nagpur are equipped with most supreme accreditations from NBA, AIU, SAQs and AACSB as its Member. Shri Mahendra Nath was a monarch of what he surveyed. He was a great patriot, an eminent industrialist & an educationist, a great visionary, a great institution builder and above all, a "karma yogi".
A light has gone out of our lives, leaving behind a void and a lot of memories, born in a humble middle class family, Shri Mahendra Nath learnt that honesty and hard work lead to success. Very early in his life, through the example of his father, who was a medical practitioner and a follower of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, he imbibed the virtues of strong determination, tenacity, hard work and care for the weaker sections of the society.
Shri Mahendra Nath began his career in business as an insurance agent in Meerut . Due to his pleasing personality and knack for cultivating relationships, he tasted success instantaneously. Over the next few years of his life, he expanded his interests to the exhibition & distribution of films, publishing, trading and finally went on to establish EMC - one of the largest and high-tension power transmission companies in India.
He traveled widely and cultivated strong relationships with not only businessmen but also people from all walks of life, wherever he worked. Shri Mahendra Nath acquired a great name and reputation for his sharp business acumen, despite his lack of any formal managerial qualification or training as an accountant, engineer or a scientist. He was blessed with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of business practices and trends, along with immense capacity for hard work with ingenuity and determination to succeed.
Shri Mahendra Nath created a trust named "Dr. K. Nath Public Trust", which created and nurtured various institutions of vocational, professional and higher learnings. The trust has been running libraries and helps poor students to undertake higher education at a large number of institutions, including Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian Institutes of Management. The trust also established Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad under the aegis of Lajpat Rai Educational Society in the year 1980 with the objective to provide high quality management education in India . The institution currently ranks among the best institutions providing management education in the country.
Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur was opened in the year 2004 to extend this philosophy and to make quality management education available to more aspiring managers.
Due to his belief in humanity and faith in the Almighty he achieved remarkable success in his life. He showed to us what Walter E. Cole said "If we are to achieve we must look for the opportunity in every difficulty instead of the difficulty in every opportunity".

Faculty Positions (Assistant Professor)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Assistant ProfessorIndividuals holding a first-class post-graduate degree and Ph.D. or equivalent in Management or allied subject, with at least three years of experience in academics are eligible to apply for the position. However, in the case of Fellow from IIM/IIT or Ph.D. from a reputed university/institute, the requirement of 3 years of experience may be reduced. Those who are expected to submit thesis within the next few months may also apply.
Industry practitioners or government officers (IAS /IFS/IPS cadre officers ), who have work experience of not less than five years and are registered for the Ph.D. degree with a reputed university or business school will also be considered.

GENERAL INFORMATION
- Faculty development assistance (FDA) of Rs. 1 Lacs per annum is available to all the faculty members for their development in research and teaching. The faculty members can use this assistance as per the norms of the institute. The utilization of this FDA is over and above the various institute sponsored faculty development activities.
- The Institute encourages interaction of the faculty with industry, other research and professional institutions. Consultancy is encouraged at IMT Nagpur and liberal consultancy policies are in practice.
- Facilities for research and development activities exist in all the areas of management. Good facilities also exist for computing. The Institute has a well-stocked library with large number of books, journals, reports, e-books, and databases. The Faculty Recruitment process is conducted on a rolling basis.
NOTE
- Candidates should have an excellent academic record, good communication skills, a commitment to high quality education and demonstrated ability to carry out original and creative research.
- Mere fulfillment of the qualifications and experience requirement laid down does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview.
- For regular appointment, there would be a probation period of 2 years.

Job – Profile:

- Looking after Purchases i.e. Material Procurement, Stores & Inventory, Vendor/Suppliers Development & Handling. You will be Member Secretary of Purchase Committee.
- Liaison & Coordination with Govt. Depts. & other Regulatory Bodies including required compliances & statutory obligations under the applicable labour & other govt. regulations.
- Day-to Day routine operational activities of the campus falling under administration domain and drafting & signing of related documents, contracts etc.
- Supervises clerical and administrative personnel by communicating job expectations, appraising job results and disciplining employees.
- Students’ Hostels & Sports/Welfare Facilities and also Controlling, Handling Students Discipline on the Campus.
- Construction & other Projects, Repairs & Maintenance of Campus Facilities & Amenities including Transport/Vehicles, Academic/Faculty Block, Class Rooms, Students’ Hostels, Dispensary/Clinic LRC, Faculty Residence, Director Residence etc.
- Co-ordinates with the Executive committees for budgetary matters and conduct of meeting.
- Facilitating outside guest for Corporate events conducted by the Institute.
