The Post Graduate Diploma in Management program at IMT Nagpur is a 2 year program, designed to train students to become decision makers. At IMT-N, we inculcate students with a broad strategic vision and ability to handle diverse business situations.

The program at IMT Nagpur are sought after as the paramount PGDM Programs in Nagpur which allow students to pursue PGDM in General Management with specialization in any area. Sectors such as Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics, Human Resources, Operations, Economics and Information Technology are for the students to choose for specialization. The academic programme is divided into 6 terms of 10 -12 weeks each. Each student is required to undertake Summer Internship Programme (SIP) at the end of First Year. This is undertaken in an organizational setting. The duration of the SIP varies between eight to ten weeks. In the second year of the Programme, each student is required to opt for 15 elective courses across the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Term based on his / her aptitude or interest. 2nd year PGDM students will also compulsorily undergo a Mock Interview & Comprehensive Viva Voce (MICVV)
Starting with PGDM batch of 2018-20, the Institute has conceptualized, designed and launched an innovative social outreach initiative titled Social Entrepreneurship Projects (SEP). The objective of this initiative is to engage all students in understanding, analyzing and ideate probable solution for dealing with certain issues of the society. Spread over 15 months and having five credits, SEP has been made an integral part of the programs offered by the Institute.

Social Entrepreneurship Project:
IMT-N has initiated a Social Entrepreneurship Project (SEP) as a mandatory component of its PGDM curriculum. The fifteen month long project has five credit point attached to it. As a group project, students make multiple visits to designated villages along with their faculty mentors to identify the opportunities and gap areas in the rural setup. The project, on one hand, provides an extraordinary opportunity to students to learn the ground realities of the rural ecosystem, on the other, creates a scope for students to showcase their innovative problem solving skills as well as enterprising approach to apply management theories to practice.
IMT-N runs specialized lab courses across various areas, e.g. marketing lab, leadership lab, investment lab and so on. Select students, based on a pre-determined criteria, become part of these courses. For instance, in marketing lab, students in a group have to come-up with a unique idea (creating a product or service), identify its intended market, direct/indirect competitors, customers, business model and other ingredients. Students develop their idea from scratch and are encouraged to implement their idea on ground. Over the years, few groups have successfully formulated their company and are running them successfully. It gives students a chance to apply their knowledge of management concepts and skills to test how best it fits in the real market conditions.
IMT-N has partnered with various industry leaders to provide certification programs to students in cutting edge areas, such as, business analytics, lean six sigma, interpersonal and soft skills to name a few. These certificate programs are offered by leading industry experts such as KPMG, SAP, NSE, IBM and Dale-Carnegie. Such kind of certifications not only give students an edge over others but also makes them industry ready.
Select group of students take part in excursion program in which they explore Himalayan Terrain to learn life skills as part of course curriculum. Through this journey of experiential learning, students not only explore the outer sphere of the world but also focus on the inner space through a variety of tools and techniques. This life-skill training provides an exceptional opportunity to students to connect with self.
In an academic year, IMT-N hosts more than 100 senior corporate experts for student interaction. Apart from industry guest lectures which is part of most of the courses, institute organizes corporate interaction sessions which is mandatory for students. Further, as part of the course curriculum, students are taken to industrial visits which helps them to witness the latest management practices applied on the ground.
Before opting for specialization in second year, IMT-N provides its students an option to choose flexi-core courses from a bouquet of courses offered from different functional areas in third trimester of first year itself. This helps students to test their aptitude and liking towards a particular specialization before actually opting for it.
