The Sports Committee of Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur organised Ranbhoomi, the annual sports fest on 1st and 2nd October, 2016. The event brought together the students and the alumni who locked horns and showcased their passion for athletics over the two day sports competition. Ranbhoomi was kick-started with the teams competing in a variety of sports including volleyball, basketball, football, table tennis, badminton, lawn tennis and cricket. Mavericks, a team from the 2017 batch, emerged as winners in table tennis, while the Gladiators, from the 2018 batch, were declared the badminton champions.

The institute witnessed intense competition between the teams with back to back matches of football, volleyball, basketball, throw ball and computer games being hosted over LAN. The Vikings, another team from the 2018 batch, were in sublime form and put forward a clear example of versatility by emerging winners in computer games, throw ball and volleyball. The sportsmanship among the teams was exemplary and they were ready to sweat it out till the last blow of whistle. The games went on from dusk to dawn. Ranbhoomi 2016 exposed the competitive side of the student managers along with the underpinning bonds between the current batches and the alumni respectively.
