Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur, hosted a five-day Residential Management Development Program from September 25th to 29th, 2023, welcoming senior officers from Western Coalfields Limited (WCL).

Welcome addresses by Dr. Bigyan Verma, Director, IMT Nagpur, and Dr. P. Janaki Ramudu, Dean-Academics, set the tone for the programme. The Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony was Mr. P. Narendra Kumar, General Manager (Personnel) and HoD (HRD, Admn, PR, Security), WCL, Nagpur. He shared his valuable insights on the significance of management development and its role in shaping the organization's future.

Over the five days, senior officers from WCL engaged in a rigorous and transformative learning experience, with numerous interactive sessions focusing on various topics. Beyond professional development, this MDP focused on the importance of a healthy lifestyle as well, and to motivate participants for the same a Yoga session by an expert Yoga instructor was organized. In which along with practical Yoga Skills its origin and importance was also explained to the participants.

In one of the out-of-the-classroom sessions Envision- The Movie Club of IMT Nagpur, organized a special movie screening and WCL participants observed the movie ‘Anand’ and tried to decode the fabric of human emotions by applying principles of Emotional and Social Intelligence areas learnt in the classroom.

The guests were also regaled to scintillating performances from Hypnotics, the dance club, Zimfonia, the music club, and Literati, the literature club, coordinated by OVIA-the cultural committee of IMT Nagpur.

During the Valedictory Ceremony, Mr. C.B. Ray [Chief Manager-Mining, HRD, WCL] graced the occasion along with Dean-Academics Dr. P.J. Ramudu. During the ceremony, participants shared their wonderful learning experiences from Day 0 at IMT Nagpur and how the sessions may help them to improve their personal and professional lives.

The MDP at IMT Nagpur aimed to equip the participants with the knowledge and tools to navigate the ever-changing business landscape.
