Chief/ Deputy Chief Administrative officer (CAO/ Dy.CAO)

The person will be overall responsible for administrative and maintenance /upkeep of facilities inside the IMT-N campus.

Qualification:

  • Post graduate Degree. Preferably MBA/PGDM from a reputed institute.
  • Minimum 15 years of Administrative experience, at least 7 years in a senior position having at least 100 personnel working under.

Desirable:

  • Engineering Background (preferably in Electrical/Electronics).
  • Experience in Plant (Electrical, Captive power, civil) maintenance.
  • Administrative experience at any reputed residential institute.
  • Preferably Defense Services background

Job – Profile:

CAO/Dy. CAO shall be Managing, Supervising & Controlling the following activities & functions as head of Administration Dept. with the support of staff working under you and shall be responsible for the effective, efficient, timely & hassle free functioning of these activities & functions.   

  • Security B) Housekeeping C) Horticulture D) Mess E) Canteen F) Dispensary/Clinic G) Transport H) Other Essential & Emergency Services Staff i.e. Contractual Employees & Contract Labour working through Contractors/Service Providers on IMT Campus & dealing with contractors/suppliers/vendors.
  • Employee Attendance, Pay-Roll & HR related activities as per Group Service Rules & Employee handbook, maintaining of employee service records and facilitating recruitment and selection process.
  • Looking after Purchases i.e. Material Procurement, Stores & Inventory, Vendor/Suppliers Development & Handling. You will be Member Secretary of Purchase Committee.
  • Liaison & Coordination with Govt. Depts. & other Regulatory Bodies including required compliances & statutory obligations under the applicable labour & other govt. regulations.
  • Day-to Day routine operational activities of the campus falling under administration domain and drafting & signing of related documents, contracts etc.
  • Supervises clerical and administrative personnel by communicating job expectations, appraising job results and disciplining employees.
  • Students’ Hostels & Sports/Welfare Facilities and also Controlling, Handling Students Discipline on the Campus.
  • Construction & other Projects, Repairs & Maintenance of Campus Facilities & Amenities including Transport/Vehicles, Academic/Faculty Block, Class Rooms, Students’ Hostels, Dispensary/Clinic LRC, Faculty Residence, Director Residence etc.
  • Co-ordinates with the Executive committees for budgetary matters and conduct of meeting.
  • Facilitating outside guest for Corporate events conducted by the Institute.
  • Facilitating student events and Management activities like Management Development Programs, Convocation etc.
  • Develops policies and procedures for training, coaching, counseling, and career development for staff.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures to improve operations and function of the department.
  • Ensures a safe, secure, and well-maintained facility that meets environmental, health, and security standards.
  • Any other duty as assigned by Director/Dean from time to time.
