AMCW - 2020
The Institute, in collaboration with College of Business Administration University of Texas at El-Paso, USA hosted the 2nd Annual Management Conference and Workshop (AMCW) on the theme, 'Doing Business in Emerging Markets' from January 27 to 29, 2020. The conference aimed at bringing together academicians and practicing managers from multiple disciplines to share their research on contemporary issues across inclusive and sustainable growth development under new age technology and innovation.
The first day of the colloquium commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Mr A Naga Raju (Chief General Manager- Projects, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd), Mr Anshuman Neil Basu (Secretary General- ASCP India), Dr Subhajit Bhattacharyya (Director, IMT Nagpur), Dr P Janaki Ramudu (Dean-Academics, IMT Nagpur) and Dr Parijat Upadhyay (Associate Professor, Information Management, IMT Nagpur), and was followed by the unveiling of the Conference Proceedings Booklet by the erudite guests.
Dr Bhattacharyya delivered the opening speech which was followed by the keynote address by the Chief Guest, Mr A Naga Raju, who emphasised on the changing scenarios in today’s market. The day also witnessed edifying and ebullient sessions by Prof Tomoyoshi Ogawa (Meiji University, Japan), Mr Raghunath Medge (Secretary, Mumbai Dabbawala Association) and Mr Anshuman Neil Basu. The Institute officially formed the Association of Supply Chain Profession (ASCP) IMT Nagpur Student Chapter during the course of the conference.
Day two of the conclave took shape in the form of Paper Presentations by the scholarly participants. The paper presented by the team comprising Mohammed Azhar Khan, Sakshi Chhaparwal and Sourav Sanyal were adjudicated the best. An interactive session with Swami Sarvalokananda Ji Maharaj (Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Narendrapur) on the topic, ‘Values and Ethics on Management’ was also organised that gave the congregation new perspectives in the field of management.
The Paper Development Workshop under the guidance of Dr Pawan Budhwar (Editor-In-Chief, British Journal of Management and Professor at Aston Business School) set the tone for day two and day three of the colloquium.
The conference came to close with the valedictory address by Dr Budhwar, which was followed by the distribution of certificates to all the participating delegates by the esteemed dignitaries.
