Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of IMT Nagpur aims at fostering creative thinking and nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit among the student managers by conducting sensitization workshops, entrepreneurship development programme, business plan competition, and sessions with eminent entrepreneurs, and internships with growth stage startups.

Entrepreneurship Talk (8/7/2024 & 11/7/2024)

  • Abhishek Azad, Partner-Tossin Pizza & Executive VP- The Middleby Corporation
  • Satendrasingh Lilhare, Co-Founder-Bastar Se Bazar Tak
  • Sukhada Chaudhary, VP, Community & Content at Rang De
  • Sahil Chawla, Co-founder and CEO of Tsecond
  • Wasudev Ganeshprasad Mishra, Ashoka Fellow & Founder of Silaigram

Avsar – Business Plan Workshop & Competition (31/8/2024)

  • Business Plan workshop conducted by Mr. Satendra Srivastava (Director, Institute of Capability Building), Mr. Sweekar Pawar (Incubation Manager-36INC), and Mr. Abhijeet Sharma (Incubation Manager- NITRRFIE)
  • Post Workshop, a Business Plan Competition was organized in which students participated in teams. The top 3 teams were awarded with cash prizes.

Voyage – Startup Internship Fair (29/11/2024 – 2/12/2024)

  • 34 Startup Founders & mention HRs visited IMT Nagpur campus and shared their experiences with the student managers
  • 90 student managers were offered 8 weeks of internships with the participating startups

Pantheon – constitute a series of five events: Aarambh, Inspiro, Venture Verse, Launchpad, and Seed to Scale (24/1/2025 – 25/1/2025 and 15/2/2025)

  • Subhash Ingewar, Assistant Director-MSME DFO talked about government funding support to startups
  • Sandip Khedkar, Director of YCEE Incubation Center and Dr. Ashutosh Bagade, BioNest Incubation Center in Nagpur talked about incubation support during Ventre Verse
  • Pratap Shukla, CEO-Take IT Ideas Innovations Pvt. Ltd judged team for simulating business ventures in digital environment during Launchpad
  • Shashikant Chowdhary, a veteran Startup Mentor based in Nagpur gave talk during Inspirio
  • Arvind Modi, Partner-Satguru Catalyzer Fund, and Mr. Chetan Ruwatia, Senior Finance Associate-Capital 2 Be, evaluated business plans for Seed to Scale

Dr. Rizwan Ahmed, Global Chief Technology Officer at DelaPlex Software was the chief guest and judge for the occasion.The top 3 teams were awarded with cash prizes.

  • Amit Kasliwal, Founder of Dehurdle gave talk on entrepreneurship
  • Rajesh Tarpara, Practising Company Secretary, Council Member of The ICSI and Mr. Vinay Pande, Independent Journalist and Podcaster were the judge for the business plan competition “Aaarambh”.
  • Ashutosh Bagade, Additional Director of BioNest-DHIMER Incubation Center in Nagpur was the judge of Bid-to-Win: an entrepreneurship simulation game held on 7/12/2025
