IMT-Nagpur organized the 7th National Conference on Information Technology and Business Intelligence from 21st to 23rd January at Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering & Information Technology (RIT - Goa), Goa, India. The conference was aimed at providing a common platform for academicians, researchers, practitioners, developers and users to disseminate knowledge, share expertise and experience.
The veterans of various fields addressed on the significant and compelling subject theme of 'Recent Trends in Business Management and Information Technology'. The conference witnessed more than 150 participants with a total of 66 papers being presented showcasing Research Papers, Case Studies and Student Papers wherein various aspects of research and use of business intelligence were discussed. This grand event featured keynote addresses by Dr. Bhaba Krishna Mohanty (IIM, Lucknow, India) on Online Business Under Fuzzy Environment, Dr. Jonathan H. Chan (King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand) on Human Posture Classification during Attentive Viewing, Dr. Utpal Roy (Department of Computer & System Sciences, Visva-Bharati, Kolkata, India) on Cooperative Communication in Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET), and Dr. Naushad Ali (Department of Lib. & Info. Science, AMU, Aligarh, India) on Information Discovery through Subject Based Information Gateways. Research papers presented during the conference will be published in International Journals. The conference was conducted to improve research ideas among individuals while creating a healthy atmosphere of learning among the participants, said, Dr. Subhajit Bhattacharya, Director of IMT, Nagpur.
