Pantheon 23
The Entrepreneurship Cell Committee of the institute hosted the 8th edition of ‘Pantheon: An Annual Entrepreneurship Summit’ on 25th-26th February 2023. The summit featured a range of activities, workshops and competitions. The event started with ‘Aarambh’, a national-level business plan competition that was judged by a panel comprised of VCs- Mr Raghav Kanoria, Founder of NeoLeap Accelerator, Mr Vineet Khurana, CEO of SACC India Accelerator, and Mr Yashovardhan Shah, MD of Evoke. Total registrations were more than 400 from all over India. From the 73 entries received, 11 teams presented their ideas in the final round. The winners of Aarambh 2023 are the following.
First Prize: Team WoCare from IIHMR University (Chinamaya Naik & Nikita Kumari, MBA Students) - INR 75000
Second Prize: Team VivaFeet from Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), Delhi (Ananya Chahal & Akinchan Kushwaha, B.Tech students, Biotechnology)- INR 50000
Third Prize: Team Samatva.AI from Bharathiar University (Kaveena and Sivaprakash Subramaniyam, MBA Students)- INR 25000
First Prize Winning Idea – WoCare
WoCare is an EdTech start-up that aims to provide affordable digital education solutions for visually impaired students with a Digital Braille Display System (Braille Tablet). It replicates into digital braille at real time that will replicate any text, graphical diagram to standard Braille, in form of a Digital Tablet at affordable cost. At same time it reduces cost burden of current education model and provides access to unlimited content (online & offline) which is currently not accessible to the visually impaired community.
Second Prize Winning Idea - VivaFeet
VivaFeet is a smart sock to discern timely, prevent and manage foot ailments either arising out of or leading to restricted blood circulation. Indistinguishable from a daily use sock but equally easy to care for, VivaFeet socks aim to directly address foot complications owing to lifestyle changes, diseases, and their resulting ailments, (like diabetes which gives rise to varicose veins, neuropathy, foot ulceration and eventual amputation) and ageing. The team had duly researched and verified that VivaFeet socks continuously monitors temperature, pressure and GAIT of the most vulnerable spots on one’s foot looking for potential sites for manifestation of foot complications like ulcers. Not only does the sock alert the user through an easy-to-use mobile application, but one’s clinician/podiatrist is also kept in the loop regarding the feet’s health status.
Third Prize Winning Idea – Samatva.AI
The team has built & developed innovations (Software & Hardware) that eases a company’s differently-abled Recruitment, Training, Talent Management and other HR processes while simultaneously benefitting the Differently-Abled People (Visually Impaired, Hearing Impaired, Speech Impaired; Physically Disabled), both professionally and educationally.
This was followed by ‘Investors’ Insights’, where the aforementioned shared their experiences and interacted with students. The summit continued with ‘Alpha Chase’, an intra-college product design competition to test the entrepreneurial spirit and creativity of the participants.
It was followed by an engaging session ‘Start-Up 101: Founders’ Workshop' where Mr Abhijeet, Founder of Ekatra, and Ms Aditi Madan, Founder of BluePine Food Pvt. Ltd., shared their valuable experience. Finally, various local and non-local entrepreneurs– B2_li_cious – The Choco Hub, Sugar & Smiles, BassKya, Breathing Paper, Creative Key, Dhruvartstra, Swyampaak Aachar, Inkredible Tattoos, Aspirant Learning presented a slice of their company at ‘Mosaic: The Start-Up Expo’, where they got to network with students and other founders.
The summit concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, which saw winners of competitions being felicitated, and a formal vote of thanks to all the entrepreneurs, founders and participants for having made Pantheon ’23 a huge success.
