“Freedom was won 70 years back, but when the freedom is in our hand, we must realize the pain with which our nation got freedom and know our bit of responsibility towards the nation”.
To contribute to the Nation on the 70th Independence Day, Corporate Citizens of IMT Nagpur along with members of CCiz (Center for Corporate Governance) took the initiative of organizing the event “Tree plantation in Dorli village” representing the motto “Plant for lost lives, plant for Mother Earth”.
The students of Dorli Vidyalaya had an informal conversation with student managers of Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur where after the student community as a team participated in planting trees. The students had a warm hearted feeling as they served Mother Nature and contributed a small effort towards our country. Patriotic songs drew the first half of the event to the mid event break.
Following the break, the student managers of IMT, Nagpur visited the Gramsabha Grah of Dorli and met Member of Legislative Assembly, Mr.Ashish Deshmukh. Student Managers interacted with him regarding the problems in the village and their possible solutions. Mr. Deshmukh discussed how we – the youth, can help upgrade small places and making them places of renown and glory. He appreciated the student managers for approaching and supporting the noble cause. At the end of the day, 30 trees were planted at 2 locations in Dorli village.
The event concluded with student managers of IMT, Nagpur having a feeling of satisfaction and content for their deed. The event helped IMT, Nagpur community to support such important cause, and deepen the social awareness among them.
