Pantheon’20 - The Annual Entrepreneurship Summit, organised by the Entrepreneurship Cell Committee of the Institute, was a two-day event where students from across the country came together to present their entrepreneurial ideas before potential investors and successful entrepreneurs.
The first day of the event was graced by the presence of Mr Amit Mehra (Founding Principal, Unicorn India Ventures), Mr Lokesh Nathany (Curator & Licensee at TEDxChowringhee), Mr Sivesh Kumar (Founder and CEO - StartUp Monk, Angel Investments and TEDx Speaker) and Mr Pankaj Chopra (Investor and Partner - India Accelerator; Investor and Sr. Partner – Kuants), who were also the adjudicators for ‘Aarambh’, the National Level B-Plan Competition. This was followed by ‘MyStory’, where entrepreneurial barons and also the alumni of the Institute, Mr Anirudh Sharma (CEO and Co-Founder at MyLeadCatalyst) and Mr Alen Abraham (Co-Founder and CEO at Plutomen Spaceforce Pvt Ltd) shared their experiences with the inquisitive crowd. ‘Ideate’, the Intra-College Entrepreneurship Competition saw participants come up with impromptu elevator pitches to put forth their start-up ideas for addressing unique yet, realistic problems.
The second day saw Ms Geetika Saigal (Best-selling Author, TEDx Speaker, Business Coach and Thought-Leader), deliver a stirring and panoramic lecture during ‘E-Talks’, followed by the ‘Young Entrepreneurship Conclave’ (YEC), where the panel of dignitaries had an interactive session with the students on the topic, ‘Finding the First Customer’. They also shared their experiences on ways to tackle the challenges that would arise in their entrepreneurial journey.
The event culminated with the prize distribution ceremony where VIT, Chennai claimed the first prize in Aarambh. Kongu Arts and Science College, Erode and KJ Somaiya, Mumbai were awarded the second and third prize respectively. Anurupa Ghosh and Ashwani Sharma were declared the winners of Ideate followed by Rajat Bindal and Sourav Sanyal bagging the 2nd position.
