poem

Falling star

I saw a falling star

Felt its twinkle on the ground

Touched the melted shine

And heard its silver sound.

Not still the shivering sparkle

Quietly crawled its way

From banks that held the waters

To deeps where pebbles lay.

Left behind one little drop

Clung to a young grass tip

Until a lost breeze unaware

Kissed and made it slip.

Together, the Happy Shine

Glided below the barren high

Ripples formed, ripples rhymed

Fading and waiting

Again to rise.

Full of light and joy unburied

Aglow returned my mind

Touching warm upon my lashes

Gently opened my eyes

I saw my fallen star

Unfallen in the sky.
