Batch 2026–28 | Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

The Admissions and PI process for Batch 2026-28 will be offline. The details of the process and modalities will be shared in the month of January 2026 with all shortlisted candidates over verified email.

The application for all the programs happens in various phases. We keep posting the deadline for applications on the IMT Nagpur campus website www.imtnagpur.ac.in and other social media platforms.

Applications are invited through the Common Application form, you may apply for all the IMT campuses, once the Common Application form’s cut-off date is over, you may separately apply for IMT Nagpur campus through exclusive form. Form Link

The provisional admission offer is made based on the consolidated score consists of (CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT score, past academic score, work ex, PI performance) and the student’s preference as mentioned at the time of application.

PGDM(Core) of IMT Nagpur offers border flexibility in specialization, while PGDM(MKT) and PGDM (FIN) are focused programs with mandatory major specialization in Marketing and Finance respectively.
All the programs follow for same admissions process and eligibility criteria for different lies in the academic focus and career trajectory.
If your still deciding your specialization on want to keep option open, PGDM ( Core) is great choice. But if your’s already set on Marketing or Finance, the specialized tracks offer deeper domain expertise.

In PGDM Program, a Major specialization is your primary area of focus, while a minor specialization compliments it with secondary expertise.
The first-year courses are common for all three programs. PGDM programs allow students to choose their major and minor after the first year and these choices may influence internship opportunities and final placements.

Work experience is NOT compulsory, however, students with work-experience get some additional score in the selection process.

The Institute has MOU with 28 international institutes, and every year (except COVID years) 10 plus students are sent abroad for an entire trimester/semester

The selection is based on consolidated scores of CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT, past academic record, work experience and performance in Personal Interview. So, there is NO pre-decided cut-off. However, last year we stopped at 75 percentiles for CAT/XAT and 90 plus percentile for CMAT. For GMAT, it was 550.

The residential program requires everyone to stay in the hostel. Separate hostels are there for boys and girls. Single occupancy is limited and allocated on first cum first-serve basis.

The institute has a transport facility for students. Plus, opposite the institute, there’s a bus stop where one can get buses to the city every 30 minutes or so.

There is no management quota. Selection is based purely on merit.

The deduction will be as per AICTE policy for refunds. Please refer to AICTE's updated guidelines for PGDM institutes for fee refund details.

There is No reservation for students based on caste.

No, it is not compulsory. However, candidates with work experience receive additional weightage during selection.

Batch 2024-2026 students have received a total of 12 Preplacement offers from Summer Internships. The Summer Internship Programme (SIP) conducted after the first year attracts an overwhelming response from the corporate world. Students get an opportunity to work closely with companies and develop a long-term perspective about their career choices. Companies view summer internships as a means to engage students on some productive short- term assignments as well as evaluate them for the purpose of giving them Pre- Placement Offers (PPOs).

IMT Nagpur’s PGDM program includes core subjects, flexi core courses and electives spread across six trimesters. Flexi core courses appear in Term III where students choose any two from a set of nine options.
Flexi core programs at IMT Nagpur are as integral part of curriculum that enables students to customize their learning experiences carefully by experimenting with different domains and preparing you for specialization.

A student must choose 12 electives in terms 4th, 5th & 6th
Dual specialization: [for Core PGDM only] 6 from each specialization
Major / Minor: 6 to 8 from First specialization, 4 from Second specialization & and 2 compulsorily from other areas.
Single Specialization: 6 to 8 from specialization area, 6 from other areas with not more than 3 in any area.
A student may specialize in the following functional areas : Finance, Marketing, HR & OB, Operations, BA & IT
