Admissions Eligibility Criteria

A minimum of three years Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks.

Applicants who are appearing for the final-year degree examination can also apply, subject to submission of all mark sheets and pass certificate to IMT’s Academic Program office at a later date. Failing to do so will result in admission being cancelled.

We accept scores of the following entrance exams:
CAT (2025)/ XAT (2026)/ GMAT (January 1, 2022 – January 26, 2026) / CMAT (2026) for IMT Nagpur

In case of GMAT, the scores should reach us by March 15, 2026

Scholarships for IMT Nagpur

  • Smt Leela Nath Memorial Scholarship
    All female candidates who are admitted to any of the PGDM programs at IMT Nagpur, will receive a scholarship of 20% on the academic fees component. Please note that the scholarship will be disbursed post candidate joins the campus and pays the required amount of fees and all other components of the fee.
    payable fees: ₹12,94,600 (including Hostel, Mess, Books, Admission fee etc.)
  • Merit Scholarship
    Candidates who have scored a 90 percentile or above in CAT OR XAT OR a 700+ absolute score in GMAT 10th edition or a 645+ absolute score in GMAT Focus edition and are admitted to IMT Nagpur, will receive a scholarship of 40% on the academic fee component. Please note that the scholarship is disbursed, post candidate joins the campus and pays the required amount of fees. and all other components of the fees.
    Total payable fees: ₹9,89,200 (including Hostel, Mess, Books, Admission fee etc.)
  • TFW waiver scheme
    Candidates eligible and shortlisted for the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme, will not be required to pay the academic fee component as they will get a 100% academic fees waiver. They will, however, have to pay all other components of the fees. In addition to the same, they will be required to pay an amount of Rs 12,000/- per month towards charges for academic amenities and other facilities. This payment is to be made by the eligible students to IMT Nagpur in quarterly advance as per said monthly rate

Note : In case a student is eligible under more than one scholarship(s) and/or fee waiver scheme, he/ she will have to opt for one of such eligible scholarships/waiver schemes and such opted scholarship/waiver scheme will only continue during the entire tenure of the PGDM Program.
The decision of the Scholarship Committee(s) will be final and binding for the final allocation of scholarship/waiver and without any revision under any circumstances .

Batch 2026–28 | Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

The Admissions and PI process for Batch 2026-28 will be offline. The details of the process and modalities will be shared in the month of January 2026 with all shortlisted candidates over verified email.

The application for all the programs happens in various phases. We keep posting the deadline for applications on the IMT Nagpur campus website www.imtnagpur.ac.in and other social media platforms.

Applications are invited through the Common Application form, you may apply for all the IMT campuses, once the Common Application form’s cut-off date is over, you may separately apply for IMT Nagpur campus through exclusive form for IMT Nagpur Form Link

The provisional admission offer is made based on the consolidated score consisting of (CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT score, past academic score, work ex, PI performance) and the student’s preference as mentioned at the time of application.

PGDM(Core) of IMT Nagpur offers border flexibility in specialization, while PGDM(MKT) and PGDM (FIN) are focused programs with mandatory major specialization in Marketing and Finance respectively.
All the programs follow for same admissions process and eligibility criteria for different lies in the academic focus and career trajectory.
If your still deciding your specialization on want to keep option open, PGDM ( Core) is great choice. But if your’s already set on Marketing or Finance, the specialized tracks offer deeper domain expertise.

In PGDM Program, a Major specialization is your primary area of focus, while a minor specialization compliments it with secondary expertise.
The first-year courses are common for all three programs. PGDM programs allow students to choose their major and minor after the first year and these choices may influence internship opportunities and final placements.

IMT Nagpur’s programs are approved by AICTE.
The Institute is accredited by NBA and SAQS and is a member of AACSB.
Its programs have been given equivalence to MBA by AIU.

IMT Nagpur, follows a structured step by step placement process for all the programs that ensures smooth coordination between students and recruiters for all the programs. This process is designed to be transparent, student friendly and aligned with industry expectations.

Yes, subject to seat availability in the program you wish to get into.

Work experience is NOT compulsory, however, students with work-experience get some additional score in the selection process.

The Institute has MOU with 28 international institutes, and every year (except COVID years) 10 plus students are sent abroad for an entire trimester

The selection is based on consolidated scores of CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT, past academic record, work experience and performance in Personal Interview. So, there is NO pre-decided cut-off. However, last year we stopped at 75 percentiles for CAT/XAT and 90 plus percentile for CMAT. For GMAT, it was 550.

The residential program requires everyone to stay in the hostel. Separate hostels are there for boys and girls. Single occupancy is limited and allocated on first cum first-serve basis.

The total fees payable for Batch 2026-28, 2 year PGDM program is Rs 16 Lacs (including Hostel, Mess, Books, Admission fee etc.)

There is no management quota. Selection is based purely on merit.

There is No reservation for students based on caste.

No, it is not compulsory. However, candidates with work experience receive additional weightage during selection.

Batch 2024-2026 students have received a total of 12 Preplacement offers from Summer Internships. The Summer Internship Programme (SIP) is conducted after the first year for 8 weeks attracts an overwhelming response from the corporate world. Students get an opportunity to work closely with companies and develop a long-term perspective about their career choices. Companies view summer internships as a means to engage students on some productive short- term assignments as well as evaluate them for the purpose of giving them Pre- Placement Offers (PPOs).

IMT Nagpur’s PGDM program includes core subjects, and electives spread across six trimesters.
A student may specialize in the following functional areas: Finance, Marketing, HR & OB, Operations, BA & IT.
A student is given options of doing a Major and Minor specialization. Additionally for students in PGDM (for Core) there is a possibility of Dual Specialization as well.
