Dr. Vinay Ch

Assistant Professor, Business Analytics and Information Technology

Dr. Vinay is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Business Analytics & Information Technology (BAIT) area at Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. He holds a Ph.D. from the School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad, and is a recipient of the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) awarded by UGC. His academic journey combines rich experience in both teaching and research, alongside active contributions to institutional leadership roles.

Prior to joining IMT Nagpur, Dr. Vinay served as Assistant Professor and Area Chair – Analytics at Paari School of Business, SRM University-AP, where he was associated for three years. He also worked for one year as an Assistant Professor in the Analytics area at School of Business, Woxsen University, Hyderabad.

Dr. Vinay teaches a wide range of subjects in the analytics and IT domain, including Data Analytics using Python, R, and Excel, Data Visualization using Tableau and Power BI, and Business Statistics using Excel and Python. He has mentored and trained several postgraduate students and research scholars in data-driven decision-making and applied analytics.

 His research interests span across Service Failure and Recovery, HR Analytics, Hotel Analytics, and Text Analytics. He has published six research papers in reputed ABDC “B” category journals, and continues to actively engage in applied research with a focus on emerging analytical techniques and real-world business problems.
