IMT Nagpur: Creative Dimensions

Film making and management? Why not? IMT Nagpur's Abhinav Kamal has shown the world that the two go together, beautifully. He began with a psychological thrilled titled On The Other Side. Needless to say, the film had a gripping story and an enthusiastic audience.

Next came Abhinav's heart warming romance - Le French Crush, which was the only Indian film to be screened at the Alliance Francaise de Bangalore.

Encouraging Abhinav Kamal's talent and seeing his focused dedication to his work - creative and professional - IMT Nagpur gave him yet another opportunity to expose his talent. He created the institute's Corporate Film.

It 18 minute film begins dramatically with a question: Why is it necessary to have an MBA in the present scenario?

The answers Abhinav got were succinct eye openers. Kishore Pathur, PGDM (Marketing and Finance) said, "It is the need of the hour. You need to have a proper understanding about the basic concepts of how does business work."

Nikita Chaturvedi PGDM (Marketing and HR) was of the opinion that an MBA gives its students a holistic approach to management, and provides them with the technical expertise you need in the real life corporate world.

Most of all, an MBA offers you great careers. It is that step in the doorway of a journey into the world of work that any career person will be part of for a long time to come.

Recording responses from a whole spectrum of students, Abhinav had people who have taken a break from their careers tell viewers the reason for that break. After working for 18 months with a multinational organization, Madhulika Gaur, PGDM (Marketing and Finance) realized it was very important for her to have an MBA if she wanted the kind of career growth it offers. "That's why I'm here at IMT Nagpur," she says on camera.
