Taking a break from the busy schedule of MBA, on January 17, 2018, Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Nagpur experienced a beautiful evening filled with the rich Indian classical music. The event was organised by Zimfonia, The Music Forum of IMT Nagpur in coordination with Spic Macay (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth). Spic Macay’s idea is to enrich the quality of formal education by increasing awareness about different aspects of Indian heritage and inspiring the young mind to imbibe the values embedded in it. 
The guest of the evening was Pt. Vidyadhar Vyas, a recipient of Sangeet Natak Academy Award and a renowned vocalist from the Gwalior Gharana in the lineage of Sangeet Maharshi Pandit Vishnu Digambar Paluskar. Accompanying him was Shri Balkrishna Iyer on Tabla, Shri Sandip Gurmule on Harmonium and Shri Anurag Upadhyay on Tanpura. 
The evening began with the lighting of the lamp by Dr Subhajit Bhattacharyya (Director, IMT Nagpur). The honourable guests. Pt. Vidyadhar Vyas gave insights about the Ragas and their importance. The listeners were then taken to a transcendental stage as the artists effortlessly rendered soulful ragas with the perfect coordination of melody, time and musical notes.
The evening ended with the melodious devotional song and finally, the guests were felicitated. The event left a very positive impact and it was an enthralling session for the facultY, staff and students alike.
