Mr Narayana Murthy, the Chief Mentor & Chairman,
Infosys Technologies Ltd. urged students of IMT-Nagpur
to get ready for the future in the ever sparkling arena
of management. He said that India is shining like never
before in the global market - be it in the field of
technology, management or human capital. He urged the
students to make use of this opportunity to the fullest
extent.
He was addressing the graduating students of 2006-08
batch of IMT-Nagpur. The function was presided over
by Mr. Kamal Nath, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry,
Government of India and attended by Dr Anwar Ali, Director,
IMT-Nagpur, its faculty, the graduating students and
their parents.
It was indeed a proud moment for the graduating students
as well as their parents. They were only the third batch
of students to pass out from the institute.
Earlier during the function, while presenting his annual
report, Dr. Ali said that the institute - owing to its
guiding philosophy of 'Future of leadership' - is growing
steadily. He mentioned that - only in its 4th year of
inception - IMT-N has already been recognized among
the "top 20 private B-schools in the country".
He also mentioned that all its graduating students have
been placed with reputed corporate houses in India,
with average annual salary of Rs. 5.25 lacs and highest
salary of Rs. 7.75 lacs.
He mentioned about the future plans of IMT-Nagpur which
include - apart from enhancing its already world-class
infrastructure - conducting specialized programs for
ICICI Prudential; increased focus on short duration
